Tatts win fourth straight crown

Tatts cricket club have again defeated Commercials in a tense grand final of the local first grade cricket competition. Commercials went into the match as favourites after finishing the season as minor premiers while Tatts finished in third position. This year’s victory is the fourth premiership in a row with Tatts now joining the great Commercials side of the eighties and Namoi’s side of the early sixties with the honour. Tatts will be attempting to claim an unprecedented five titles in a row next year. This year’s grand final started in similar fashion to the last couple between the sides with Tatts winning the toss and batting on a perfect wicket. John Manchee lead the Commercials attack and was quickly into the groove with the wickets of Paul Hulbert (8), Rod Kirk (0) and Tony Meppem (0) to leave Tatts on the ropes at 3/9. Sam Greenaway chipped in with the wicket of Nathan McGinnity (4) in his third over and Tatts were 4/14. Craig Gleeson (16) and Matt Panton (17) gave the innings some stability and took the score to 49 before they were dismissed on successive deliveries with Tatts now 6/49 and looking anything but title contenders. Brad Graham (4) was also dismissed and Josh Booby was joined by Daniel Lowder and the pair put some spark into the defending premiers with a 57 run stand before Booby was caught at mid-off by Sid Brummell. Lowder continued his run onslaught to push the Tatts total up to 134 before he ran out of partners and he finished not out on 54. The innings of Lowder gave his captain a reasonable score to defend and for the second week in a row he saved his sides innings. The Commercials bowlers were well supported by their fielders with many good catches being taken. Commercials best bowlers were Ken Campbell 3/18 and John Manchee 3/31. The Commercials run chase got off to a bad start when Bill Constable was caught at mid on by Greg Noonan in Daniel Lowder’s second over. Sid Brummell joined Adrian Schwager at the crease and Commercials looked to be sailing along when he feathered a catch to the keeper off Greg Noonan’s bowling with the score on 42. Noonan then inspired a middle order collapse by removing Jeff Brummell (2) and Adam Kay (0) while Nathan Ford chipped in with the valuable wicket of Schwager for 23 and Commercials were now doing it hard at 5/49. Ken Campbell (25) stabilised the innings with skipper Greg Cameron (11) Before Matt Panton combined with Rod Kirk to claim Cameron and Manchee with the score on 7/78. Andrew Cory joined Campbell and the pair took the score to 104 before Campbell was bowled by Craig Gleeson 2/18 to end any chance of a Commercials victory. Gleeson also bowled David Whan and Nathan McGinnity bowled Cory to seal a fighting victory to Tatts. The Tatts fielding was again a major contributor to their victory with Gleeson and Panton particularly sharp.

Tatts Through to Grand Final

Tatts 1st grade cricket side have earned themselves another Grand final showdown with Commercials after a hard fought victory over Namoi Bowling Club at Collins Park last Saturday. Tatts and Commercials have been the dominant sides of the past decade in local first grade cricket with Tatts winning the past three premiership deciders over their rivals in matches that have seen the winning margins under fifteen runs on all occasions. This year’s decider looks to be shaping as another close match with the side that wins the toss likely to bat and set the opposition a competitive total.

Tatts won the toss on Saturday and captain Kirk had no hesitation in batting first on a good batting wicket. Tatts rearranged the batting order by sending in pinch hitter Daniel Lowder as an opener to take advantage of the rule that restricts fielding sides to a maximum of two fielders outside the circle for the first twelve overs. Lowder took full advantage of his captain’s decision as he smashed 53 runs out of 85 before he became the third wicket to fall after Paul Hulbert (0) and Tony Meppem (16) had earlier been dismissed. Rod Kirk (16) and Nathan McGinnity (18) provided momentum to the Tatts innings for a short period as Steven Page bowled his leg spinners well to capture 3/27 from 9 overs. Tatts batting depth again became evident as they rallied from 7/119 to be all out 156 in the 44th over. The Bowling Club run chase began well with openers Bob Ford (31) and Dean Pattison (26) both batting well to defy the Tatts bowlers and put on 58 runs in 19 overs before Pattison was run out by a sharp fielding effort from Matt Panton at backward point. Ford’s dismissal followed shortly after in bizarre circumstances while he was batting with the aid of a runner after suffering a leg injury. Ford had played a ball out to point and the runners set off for a quick single with the throw going to the bowler’s end where it went for an overthrow. Ford’s runner made his ground at the keepers end however in the confusion of using a runner Ford had left his crease and was out of his ground when an astute Matt Panton returned a throw to his keeper to see Ford run out. Craig Gleeson was introduced to the attack with Matt Panton at the other end and the pair applied the pressure to the batsmen with some tight bowling. Jason Duff was caught in the deep off Gleeson for 18 with the score on 93 and Bowling Club were starting to look in trouble with Tatts fielding and bowling to a high standard. Bowling Club went from 3/93 in the 34th over to collapse to be all out for 127 in the 45th over. Daniel Lowder bowled well to cap a fine match to return 2/27 and Craig Gleeson was rewarded for some excellent bowling with figures of 3/26.

This weekend’s grand final will start at 12.30pm and the Narrabri District Cricket Association will conduct its presentations immediately after both grades have been completed at the Collins Park grandstand.

Tatts Lose Last Game Before Finals

RSL showed good spirit to defeat a depleted Tatts side at No 2 Oval by 33 runs. RSL batted first and got off to a flier with Troy Nipperess finally showing form to smash 45 runs in quick time. Jim Pitman 22 and Jason Trindall 28 showed good form to guide their side to a respectable tally of 8/156 after 45 overs. Greg Noonan was again Tatts best bowler taking 3/20 from his 9 overs while out of form Skipper Rod Kirk showed he might have other options as a frontline bowler by taking 2/21 from 8 overs of right arm variety. The Tatts run chase was punctuated by regular wickets falling as only Tony Meppem (22) was able to pass twenty. RSL’s best bowlers were Mick Baker 3/16 and Jim Pitman 4/25. Tatts will be looking to the return of four regular first to bolster the fragile batting when they take on Namoi Bowling Club next Saturday in the preliminary final for the right to take on Commercials.

Tatts Wrap up 3rd Spot

Tatts took on Namoi Bowling Club at Collin’s Park with Bowling Club keen to have a win to challenge Commercials for top spot while Tatts were safe in the knowledge that they would finish third no matter what the results were in the last two games. Tatts won the toss and batted with Paul Hulbert and Nathan McGinnity batting well to take the total to 43 before Hulbert was caught for an entertaining 21 from the bowling of Les Sault. Tony Meppem joined McGinnity and the pair took the score to 93 before McGinnity was dismissed for 42 while attempting to push the run rate up. Meppem followed soon after for 39 when Lucas Shields ran him out. Rod Kirk 6 and Craig Gleeson 1 fell quickly before Matt Panton 27* and Tim Balcombe 31* scored quickly to push the total up to 5/182 after the allotted 45 overs. Dean Pattison 35 and Bob Ford 29 posted a 56 run opening stand before Craig Gleeson had him caught by Matt Panton at midwicket. Greg Noonan and Gleeson bowled a good spell to rip the heart out of the Bowling Club innings with Jason Duff, Mick Dowdell and Matt Finlay all bagging ducks and their side at 5/72. Pattison was dismissed shortly after and only Craig Trindall with 26 runs showed any fight as the team was dismissed for 119 in only the 33rd over. Tatts best bowlers were Gleeson with 3/27 and Daniel Lowder who also bagged 3/27. A feature of the Tatts fielding effort was the catching with Nathan Ford showing the benefits of an early night to take two catches. With one game remaining Commercials are minor premiers while Tatts will do battle with Namoi Bowling Club in the final for the right to take on Commercials in the decider.

Commercials defeat Tatts

Commercials retained the lead in the local 1st grade cricket competition with a crushing defeat of arch rival Tatts at No 2 Oval last Saturday in the last week of a two day game. After the first week of play Commercials had batted themselves into a strong position to be 1/170 after 40 overs with Adrian Schwager not out on 90 and Ken Campbell not out 36. In reply Tatts had progressed to be 4/121 with Tony Meppem not out 41 and Paul Hulbert not out 7. Commercials resumed their innings at the start of play and Ken Campbell became the first to fall with the score on 191 after compiling a well made half-century. Schwager brought up his century shortly after with a quick single to mid off. Schwager batted on to post 124 runs before Nathan Ford bowled him in his first over of the day. Tatts eventually dismissed Commercials for 298 in the 78th over of the innings with Greg Noonan 3/57, Nathan Ford 2/31 and Tony Meppem 2/17 being the chief wicket takers. Tatts run chase began badly when Sid Brummell caught Paul Hulbert off the bowling of John Manchee for 10 with the score on 125. Nathan McGinnity (1) and Tony Meppem (44) followed in quick succession and only Daniel Lowder with 21 runs showed any resistance to get his side up to a total of 170. Commercials best bowlers were John Manchee 3/40 David Whan 2/16 while only Craig Gleeson 64 & Tony Meppem 44 made scores for Tatts. In a strange decision Commercials decided not to enforce the follow-on and make Tatts bat again in an attempt to gain outright points by dismissing the fragile Tatts batting line-up in the 21 overs remaining. Commercials went in for their second innings and chased batting bonus points by opening with big hitters Bill Constable and Ken Campbell however Campbell was caught first ball of the innings and Tatts took two more wickets to have Commercials 3/61 when captains agreed to halt play with Commercials claiming a first innings win and one bonus point while Tatts picked up 3 points.

Tatts Back in Form!

In the Tatts versus RSL game Tatts were desperate to confirm their hold on 3rd spot on the ladder from RSL. RSL won the toss and batted first. Jason Trindall looked in good touch until he slashed at a ball outside off stump from Daniel Lowder to be well caught by Rod Kirk at keeper for 8. The RSL innings then progress at a slow rate before Nathan Ford caught Jim Pitman from the bowling of Greg Noonan for 25. Tony Dampney proved difficult to dislodge as he pushed the ball around to top score with 44. Rod Tomlinson also provided valuable runs at the end of the innings with 26 runs to help his side to a total of 8/135.

The Tatts run chase began slowly with Rod Kirk and Paul Hulbert taking the score to 18 in the 10th over before Kirk was caught down the leg side off the bowling of Tom Williams (1/7 from 9 overs). Tatts lost Hulbert and Nathan McGinnity in quick succession to be 3/29in the 16th over. Tony Meppem and Craig Gleeson put together the match winning partnership to with Gleeson hitting the ball sweetly to clear the boundary twice on his way to a hard hitting 40 valuable runs before he was caught by Anthony Newman in the deep. Tatts lost a couple more wickets before Brad Graham 7* and Meppem 46* steered them home with just six balls left.

2nd February 2002

Tatts Robbed by Rain (?)

Namoi Bowling Club took on Tatts at Collins Park in a low scoring affair. Bowling Club batted first and were in early trouble as Nathan Ford returned to form to bowl both openers with the score on 23. Mick Dowdell was then also dismissed by Ford for 4 and Bowling Club were in desperate trouble at 3/26 after 14 overs. The experienced pair of Craig Trindall and Jason Duff steadied the innings and took the score to 73 before Duff was caught and bowled by Greg Noonan for 10. Matt Panton then gained the valuable wicket of Craig Trindall in his fifth over for 39 and Bowling Club were in trouble at 5/77 in the 29th over. The remaining batsmen all contributed small scores to help their total to 127 before they were dismissed in the 44th over. The Tatts run chase began poorly when captain Rod Kirk was dismissed by Mark Page in the 3rd over of the innings for 5 with the score on 11. Josh Booby was then bowled by Lucas Shields for a duck one run later and Tatts fragile batting again looked to be having trouble. Nathan McGinnity and Paul Hulbert both scored handy 20’s however Tatts continued to lose regular wickets to be positioned at 7/96 in the 32nd over when stormy weather resulted in bad light stopping play with Shane Kirk not out 20 and Greg Noonan Not out 0.

Tatts in Trouble (Again)!

Tatts and Commercials did battle on No 2 oval with Commercials keen to avenge a run of close defeats at the hands of their archrivals. Commercials batted first with Jeff Brummell (13) and Adrian Schwager (38) getting their side off to a good start to post 50 runs before Brummell was bowled by Craig Gleeson. Schwager was dismissed 10 runs later when Greg Noonan trapped him LBW. Schwager’s dismissal started a collapse by his teammates as they were dismissed for 105 in only the 35th over. Tatts part-time spinner Brad Graham proved to be the unlikely destroyer with his flighted off-spinners taking 5/6 from three overs. Tatts innings began badly when Josh Booby was run out with the score on 6. The late introduction of Bill Constable prompted a Tatts batting collapse as Constable took 3/2 from his six over spell to have Tatts in trouble at 5/22. Rod Kirk (14) and Brad Graham (18) tried to steady the innings however regular wickets saw Tatts bowled out for 74.

1st December 2001

Tatts in Trouble!

Tatts and Namoi Bowling Club, who are currently 1st and second on the point’s table, did battle in a match with sudden changes in favouritism. Namoi’s batted first and Craig Trindall (15) and Dean Pattison (54) got their side off to a good start putting on 27 until Greg Noonan’s 4th over when Trindall was bowled with the third ball of the over. The very next ball saw Jamie Anderson also bowled for a duck. Mick Dowdell faced and survived the hat-trick ball however Noonan bowled him as well with the very next ball to claim three wickets in one over. Dean Pattison stayed calm at the other end as his teammates tumbled to be 6/74 with Tatts in control. Pattison was then run out in the 27th over for an excellent 54 runs and it appeared that Tatts only had to go through the motions to rap up the remaining batsmen however a defiant last wicket stand of 46 runs by Lucas Shields and Jarrod Lyons thwarted Tatts as Namoi’s survived to be 9/166 after forty overs. Tatts openers Tony Meppem and Rod Kirk went out to face a lively opening spell from current Central North fast bowler Craig Trindall and they achieved their goal of not losing early wickets to see off Trindall and Trinity Kelly and be Cruising along at 0/63 in the 26th over when Kirk had a rush of blood a skied a delivery from Les Sault (1/21 from 10) to be caught. In a display of Good captaincy Trinity Kelly brought back his premier fast bowler who responded to remove Craig Gleeson, Tim Balcombe, and Ben Coleman for low scores. D Patten also chipped in with a valuable spell to remove Chase Magner and also Tatts top scorer Tony Meppem (43) late in the day. Craig Trindall bowled well to return 3/15 from his ten overs while D Patten returned 2/6 from 4 overs to have Tatts in trouble at 6/90. Tatts will be looking to the return of Matt Panton this week and a strong display by the tail to get them over the line.

RSL Has First Win

RSL first grade cricket side had their first win of the season with a hard fought victory over reigning premiers, Tatts at No 2 oval last Saturday. Tatts won the toss and sent their opposition in on a wicket that was expected to provide some assistance to the bowlers due to rain late in the week. The Tatts plan didn’t eventuate as the wicket played well and the RSL openers put on 30 for the first wicket before Daniel Lowder had Jason Trindall trapped LBW for 11. Shane Andrews (20) and Rod Tomlinson (36) then combined to frustrate the Tatts attack with Greg Noonan in particular bowling without luck to continually beat the bat. The RSL innings became bogged down and at the 30 over mark the total was 3/78. Jim Pitman (31) and Derek Litzow (16) picked the scoring rate up before they were both bowled by Tony Meppem who finished with 3/24 from 6 overs. The RSL innings finished 9/145 after their 45 overs and without strike bowler Michael Baker, Tatts would have been confident of victory. The Tatts innings started poorly when skipper Rod Kirk was brilliantly caught at deep fine leg off the bowling off Vince Woodgate in only the second over of the innings. Craig Gleeson was next to go when he was trapped LBW by Jason Trindall for 6 with the score on 18. Tatts continued to lose wickets as Chase Magner (11) ,Tony Meppem (19) and Brad Graham (1) all were dismissed with only Tim Balcombe (38) and the tail making handy contributions before Tatts were dismissed with the score on 122.

TATTS DOWN COMMERCIALS

Last season’s first grade grand-finalists, Tatts and Commercials locked horns again last Saturday at No 2 oval. These sides have staged some exciting finishes in the last three grand-finals and this game was played out to the same script as Tatts again got home in a close finish. Tatts won the toss and batted first with openers Rod Kirk and Josh Booby getting their team off to a solid start with 77 runs in the book before Booby was caught in close for 27 in the 22nd over. Craig Gleeson joined his captain and the pair set about increasing the run rate with Kirk dismissed for a game high total of 58 with the score on 92. Tony Meppem (33) and Gleeson took the score to 124 in the 33rd over before Gleeson was trapped LBW by Adam Kay for 21. Chase Magner (18) then joined his experienced partner and the pair posted some quick runs before the ever-reliable John Manchee bowled Magner (3/21). Meppem, Brad Graham and Greg Noonan all lost their wickets in the dash for quick runs at the end and the Tatts innings ended on 7/176. Commercials openers Adrian Schwager and Adam Kay began slowly to be 0/9 after six overs. The pair increased the tempo soon after however Kay was bowled by Matt Panton for 14 with the score on 42. Schwager and Ken Campbell lifted the scoring rate before Rod Kirk caught Schwager in the deep off the bowling of Tom O’Connor for 32 with the score on 56. O’Connor claimed another scalp soon after when he bowled J Sieb for a duck. Matt Panton claimed the crucial wicket of Ken Campbell 26 with the score on 89 and wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as Panton 3/14, Greg Noonan 2/30 and Tom O’Connor 4/42 all bowled well. Commercials looked destined for a crushing defeat until Bill Constable arrived at the crease at 6/101. Constable belted the Tatts bowlers to the boundary at will and with G Roth put on 39 for the eighth wicket before Constable tried once too often to hit one over the fence and was brilliantly caught by Josh Booby at long-on for an entertaining 46 runs. O’Connor mopped up the innings by bowling B Towns for a duck and Tatts had won yet another tight finish with their old rivals.

27th October 2001

TWO - DAY WIN TO TATTS

RSL resumed at 8/115 and Rod Tomlinson 20* and Vince Woodgate 13, built a handy 28 run partnership before Woodgate was brilliantly stumped by Rod Kirk standing up to opening bowler Craig Gleeson. The RSL innings ended six runs later at 146 which left Tatts 82 runs to win on first innings with 40 overs to achieve their target. Tony Meppem and Chase Magner resumed their first innings scores at 22* and 12* respectively with the team at 4/65. The pair again showed patience with Magner in particular batting with maturity beyond his years to progress his score to 30 and the team total to 101 before he was eventually dismissed by Jim Pitman. Rod Kirk (11) joined Meppem and they got their side to within sight of victory at 5/136 before a scratchy Kirk skied one off Mick Baker to be caught by Derek Litzow. Nathan McGinnity (0) was brilliantly stumped off the bowling of Jim Pitman and Tatts appeared to be a little bit wobbly at 7/136 however Matt Panton showed he was the man to handle the situation by getting his side over the line with a quick innings of 18 to see Tatts finish their first innings at 9/175 with Tony Meppem remaining not out on 76. Mick Baker 2/30 from 20 overs and Vince Woodgate 2/16 from 20 overs were the pick of the RSL bowlers. With 26 overs remaining of the days play, RSL batted again and lost 4 wickets to be 4/59 when play was completed.

The Two Day Games Begin!

The Narrabri district cricket competition played the first week of its first modified 2 day game of the season last Saturday in all grades.  The new rules involve teams having to suspend their first innings after 40 overs are received so that no team has to field for a whole day. The team that batted first then resumes their innings at their suspended score the next week and gets another 40 overs to set the second side a target.
RSL and Tatts did battle at No 3 with RSL in early trouble before skipper Jason Trindall saved the day with an aggressive 56 runs. Tatts old timer Tony Meppem returned to the bowling crease after a considerable absence to claim 3/1 from five overs. The RSL innings was suspended at 8/115 after their 40 overs and Tatts began poorly, losing Craig Gleeson who had his stump broken by Michael Baker for 2. Tim Balcombe 19 batted solidly at first drop before being bowled by Vince Woodgate in his marathon spell of 13 overs straight into the wind for the remarkable figures of 2/3. Tony Meppem 22* and Chase Magner 12* steadied the Tatts innings at 4 - 65 after their 40 overs.
Next week’s resumption in play will see some interesting battles as the sides come to grips with the different tactics involved with the new concept.

COMMERCIALS AVENGE GRAND-FINAL DEFEAT

Commercials and Tatts renewed their battle for the Narrabri District Cricket Association first grade title on Saturday at Collins Park. Commercials were keen to atone for grand final losses to Tatts in the last three seasons whilst Tatts were looking to get off to a better start to the year then last season were they won only one game before Christmas. Commercials batted first and were in early trouble with Jeff Brummell out to a great catch by Chase Magner from the bowling of Andrew Orr for 6, with the score on 11. Sid Brummell joined Adrian Schwager and the pair put on 84 before Brummel[ was caught off the bowling off Magner for41. Schwager and Campbell continued their form from last season to take the score to 2/187 after their allotted 45 overs. Scbwager remained not out 86 and Campbell was not out 42.
Tatts openers Josh Booby 44 and Craig Gleeson 35 got an under-strength Tatts batting line up off to a good start putting on 60 before Gleeson was dismissed. A steady procession of batsmen then came and went with J Knight 3/39 and Ken Campbell 2/16 cleaning up the young Tatts side before Todd Farrer 13 and Chase Magner 22* took their side to within sight of victory at 8/150 however the overs ran out at 9/154 for Commercials to take out the match and regain a little revenge on their opponents.

MAIDEN TON FOR TATTS OPENER

Tatts young batting star Nathan McGinnity scored his first senior hundred on Saturday as Tattersalls took on RSL at Cooma Oval. McGinnity had scored a century for Narrabri under 16’s against Moree earlier in the season. Due to Gately Field being unfit for play the clash between Tatts and RSL was transferred to Cooma Oval. Tatts batted first and McGinnity combined with skipper Wayne Knight in a brilliant opening partnership of 163. The pair began slowly building a solid foundation before launching an assault on the RSL bowling. Knight was dismissed in the 34th over for 83. McGinnity was eventually out in the 42nd over for a wonderful 109 runs. At the conclusion of their allotted 45 overs Tatts had reached 3/250 with Steven Ford not out 18 and Avern Cracknell 17 not out. RSL began the run chase in disastrous fashion losing a wicket in the first over. Wickets then fell regularly and RSL was eventually bowled out in the 44th over for 164. One pleasing note for RSL was the form of young Sam Mensah with the bat. He top scored with 35 runs. Saturday also saw the return of veteran batsman Tony Longworth. Tony tried to hold the innings together and batted for 28 overs before being dismissed by young leg spinner Luke Meppem 3/30 for 23. Blayne Magner also chipped in with 23 runs. Steven Ford with 3/2 off six overs was the pick of the Tatts bowlers.

3rd November 2001

FIRST WIN FOR TATTS

It looked like being a long afternoon in the field for Tattersalls when after recovering from the loss of two early wickets Commercials had reached 2/115 after 15 overs. With a lightning outfield a score of 250 plus looked likely. Danger men Anthony Finlay (57) and John Dean (40) were dismissed shortly after drinks and although boundaries still flowed from the bat Tatts took a steady stream of wickets to bowl out Commercials in the 26th over for 191. Tatts put out a side with only 2 men over twenty and youngsters  fielded aggressively and took some wonderful catches. Best bowlers were Gareth Chalmers 3/43 and Mark Crutcher 4/39. Captain Paul Hulbert told his charges that the total was very attainable on the quick outfield and they should bat with patience. He opened up with Nathan McGinnity and the pair batted beautifully not giving a chance until Hulbert was dismissed in the 24th over for 91 with the total on 166. McGinnity fell soon after for 69. The Tatts youngsters lost a couple of more wickets as they reached the total five down in the 30th over.

27th October 2001

BAD START FOR TATTS

The match between Tatts and RSL took place at Number 1 oval. RSL batted first and after 40 overs were 9/173. Tom Williams again was the high scorer with 69 and must be close to a first grade call up. Steve Ford was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 wickets. Tatts began their first innings brightly with Paul Hulbert 25 and Nathan McGinnity putting on 37 for the first wicket. Hulbert’s dismissal triggered a massive batting collapse to see Tatts bowled out for 53. Chief wicket takers were Tom Williams 4/8 and Ian Wickham 3/4.  RSL then resumed their first innings before declaring at 9/180. This left Tatts a tricky 7 over spell at the end of the day. RSL picked up the valuable wickets of both openers to leave Tatts reeling at 2/ 13 at the end of day 1, still needing over 120 runs to make RSL bat again.

Day 2 saw Tatts needing to bat with a lot more determination if they were going to take anything from the game. Tatts batted with a lot of grit for 80 overs to finish 9/162 and earn 3 bonus points. Wayne Knight 46 and Brendon Ward 28 the best of the batsmen. Rick Fry 4/31 and Jason Barnes 3/34 both bowled well. This left RSL needing 37 runs of 7 overs to seal an outright victory. This was achieved on the second last ball of the day through a Rick Fry six,  RSL finishing on 2/39.
